Sh!t-faced Shakespeare [Qld]

Winner – Best Comedy Weekly Award - Adelaide Fringe 2025

The hilarious, smash-hit, internationally acclaimed, multi sell-out comedy festival phenomenon returns to Brisbane to help you enjoy Shakespeare responsibly!

Sh!t-faced Shakespeare is the hilarious blend of an entirely serious Shakespeare play with an entirely sh!t-faced actor. What could possibly go right? With a genuinely inebriated cast member each night, no two shows are ever the same in this raucous, riotous rampage through one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, the story of a privileged whiny lad who goes a bit bonkers and does some stabbings, Hamlet.

Warning, this show includes a genuinely drunk performer and anything could happen. This show may contain drinking, swearing, nudity, simulated acts of a sexual nature, terrible singing, actual acts of a sexual nature, and quite possibly - some actual Shakespeare.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Qld]

All 37 plays ... in 97 minutes ... with just 3 hilarious actors!

All of Shakespeare. None of the boring bits.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is a fast, furious, and laugh-out-loud sprint through the Bard’s best (and weirdest) moments. Expect tragic deaths, wild romances and more ridiculous wigs than a royal court as three performers attempt to tackle every play and sonnet in one whirlwind performance.

The new production, directed by Darren Gilshenan and starring Brisbane favourites Amy Ingram (Pride and Prejudice, Fourteen, Cinderella), Stephen Hirst (A Very Naughty Christmas, Merrily We Roll Along, Macbeth) and Tomas Pocilujko (Murder at the Manor, Antony and Cleopatra, Plied and Prejudice), is playing at QPAC for a strictly limited season.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan or think Macbeth is a new burger at Macca’s, this show is pure comedy gold.
